As the CEO of the worldwide executive search group, Swann Global, Lorraine oversees client service programmes for Swann. She, along with her team, are always looking to develop new and unique strategies for executive search.
In separating out the inevitably small number of exceptional people in a particular category, Lorraine identifies qualities that contribute to future proofing a company and qualities which show outstanding thought leadership capabilities.
Key personality traits which Lorraine also identifies in selected people are high standards of personal intellect and inspiring leadership qualities.
Overseeing the development of an on-going series of documents under the general heading of Thought Leadership is a key interest of Lorraine’s. The reports cover a series of subjects including selection of people, identifying key criteria, analysing indicators of exceptional leaders, remuneration practices, and variations in management style in the different world regions.
Lorraine has been with Swann for 15 years. Immediately prior to her current role, responsibilities included oversight of the Australian business of Swann as well as opening and developing the Chilean office in Santiago. Over many years, Lorraine also spent considerable time developing Swann’s North American activities and supporting the Toronto office.
Before moving to Swann, Lorraine was in the travel industry, working with Australian Airlines then was part of the transition to Qantas. The various roles included the managing of large groups of people and major changes in technology.
External to Swann, Lorraine has a passion for sport – of any kind, depending on the country she is in at the time.
Prior to joining Swann, Chris was the Director, Education and Training at the Minerals Council of Australia where he was responsible for national policy development and advocacy of the minerals industry’s strategic response to skilled labour shortages. At the same time, he was also the Executive Director of the Victorian Division of the Minerals Council of Australia. In that role, he was responsible for the development of public policy on minerals industry matters in Victoria and advocacy on behalf of member companies with interest in Victoria.
Before his position in the Minerals Council of Australia, Chris was actively engaged in operational and technical roles across Australia and Indonesia, primarily in the coal sector. Chris has completed his Bachelors of Engineering (Civil) from RMIT University and Diploma of Applied Science (Geology) from University of Canberra.
Candice received her Bachelors Degree of Law from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China and Masters Degree of Accounting from Central Queensland University in Australia. Her legal and finance backgrounds have been excellent attributes to bring to her recruiting skills, adding breadth and rigour to her research and candidate assessments.
Audrey joined Swann Global in 2017 and is currently working as a Research Associate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Mumbai and has a certification in Executive Program in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C). She has developed a strong research and consulting background through her 8 year experience in the Indian industry.
Prior to joining Swann, Audrey has worked in India as a Researcher at Netscribes, as an Energy Sector Analyst at KPMG and a Senior Consultant at Capgemini Consulting. In all of these roles, she has gained key skills in market research and intelligence, quantitative analysis and project management. At Swann she is applying her solid research and senior stakeholder management knowledge in the executive search and recruitment for the mining sector.
