RSA A+NZ Project:
Launching the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network in the Asia Pacific Region
Swanns, Anu Arora and Grace Tan had the pleasure of attending the launch of the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBW) in the Asia Pacific Region on 19th August 2015. The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) has partnered with the CBW to launch and grow the CBW in the Asia-Pacific region. The CBW is a membership organisation which works to encourage, enable and embed women’s economic empowerment through delivering activities, initiatives, products and services focused on the 3Ts – Trade, Training and Talent.
This project is led by the team consisting of:
– Freda Miriklis, Fellow of the RSA A+NZ and Global Co-Chair of CBW, based in Melbourne Australia;
– Mark Strachan, Fellow and Board Member of the RSA A+NZ, based in Melbourne Australia;
– Scott Phillips, Fellow and Board Member of the RSA A+NZ, based in Melbourne Australia and
– Arif Zaman; Fellow of the RSA and Executive Director of CBW, based in London UK.
It was an interesting night where members of the audience were invited to participate by contributing ideas for the next steps of the project. Key action outcomes and ideas from the launch will be fed directly into the first Commonwealth Women’s Forum at the CHOGM in Malta later this year.
